Unlike other Vitamin C serums, the Triple Vitamin C Serum isn't orange, doesn't smell, isn't sticky, and won't sting. Instead, it's luxurious to use and actually delivers the results you expect:
In a consumer study1
REDUCED FINE LINES
1Represent percentage of participants experiencing results in a consumer perception survey of 34 women who used the Triple Vitamin C Serum once a night for four weeks.
It’s also unique in that it’s the only antioxidant that can both firm the skin and even skin tone. Everyone should be using Vitamin C daily.
Vitamin C only works if it can absorb into your skin cells, and most forms of Vitamin C aren’t formulated to effectively do so, because like the most common form, ascorbic acid, they’re water-soluble. Our skin cells are protected by a barrier of fat, and you know that water and oil don’t mix. Neither does traditional Vitamin C and your skin. Worst of all, traditional Vitamin C isn’t stable, so it turns brown, sticky, and stops working.
Dr. Schultz spent 15 years developing this revolutionary formula. He combined the three most potent forms of Vitamin C, and then perfected the formula by esterifying the molecule. Unlike other Vitamin C products, the Triple Vitamin C Serum is stable (it works just as well from the first drop to the last), gentle, and oil-soluble.
Participants used the Triple Vitamin C Serum once per night for four weeks as part of a regular BeautyRx regimen.
Water, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Pentylene Glycol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Methylsilanol Ascorbate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sorbitan Stearate, PEG-40 Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Cellulose Gum, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Tocotrienols, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate: Most effective, easily-absorbed and stable form of Vitamin C; helps to firm and brighten the skin and prevent the signs of premature skin aging.
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate: Ultra-stable water-soluble form of Vitamin C that helps enhance antioxidant protection.
Methylsilanol Ascorbate: Potent form of Vitamin C that helps to smooth, firm, and brighten.
Glycerin: Humectant that provides superior moisturizing ability, making skin soft and supple.
Hyaluronic Acid: Helps improve hydration by retaining and attracting up to 1,000 times its own weight in water from moisture in the air.
Warnings: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation develops, discontinue use and contact your physician.
A: There is no reason that a Vitamin C serum needs to be orange. In fact, if a Vitamin C darkens (orange, brown, etc.) it most likely means that it’s been oxidized and therefore has lost effectiveness. The Triple Vitamin C is not only white, but it should never discolor because unlike other Vitamin C products, it’s stable, which means it will be as effective from the first drop to the last.
A: The form of Vitamin C used in most skincare products is ascorbic acid, which is an acid. This is why other Vitamin C products can sting and be incompatible with other products. The form of Vitamin C in the Triple Vitamin C Serum is esterified, which means that it is no longer an acid and thus it’s gentle. It can also be used freely with other products. Your skin care products should not sting and now your Vitamin C doesn’t have to either.
A: Yes. While we only recommend using one exfoliant at a time, the Triple Vitamin C Serum is not an exfoliant because the special form of Vitamin C that Dr. Schultz included in this serum is an ester, not an acid. This means that you can receive the benefits of Vitamin C from the Triple Vitamin C Serum at the same time you receive the benefits from exfoliation from an exfoliant, such as The Progressive Peel.
A: It is best to store your Vitamin C products out of direct sunlight and at room-temperature. Avoid excessive heat. Some people prefer to store theirs in a refrigerator, which won’t cause any issues, but also is not necessary.
A: Yes. While an effective Vitamin C product can help neutralize damage from free radicals, this is not a substitute for daily sunscreen use. In fact, we recommend applying the Triple Vitamin C Serum at night for optimal efficacy.
A: Antioxidants work by absorbing and neutralizing dangerous energy from free radicals that form inside your cells, including your skin cells, and get destroyed in the process. However, if the free radicals are left unchecked, the damage they unleash can alter and even destroy your cells and DNA. Ultraviolet light is one source of free radicals. They can also form inside your cells for many other reasons. So if you put your topical antioxidant on during the day, it will absorb the free radicals from the sun, but get destroyed in the process, before being absorbed into your skin cells, where you need it. So the only way that you can get the topical antioxidant into your cell is to put it on your skin when there’s no sunlight to destroy it. Therefore, you have to put your antioxidant on at night so that it can be absorbed into your cells and be ready the next day to help protect you from free radicals and other forms of bad energy.
