Director, Social Media & Content


The Director of Social Media & Content at BeautyRx will drive the strategy and day-to-day execution of BeautyRx content across social media, email, blog and You will also support and strategize on the launch of BeautyRx’s premiere brick-and-mortar business, a first-of-its-kind skincare concept seeking to democratize dermatological services. This role will be supported by a team two to three paid interns and supplemented by a monthly content development budget.


You have a proven track record of content strategy development, content creation, social media know-how, and a passion for skin care and beauty. You’re equal parts creative and strategy; you don’t think creative can reach its potential without the data to back it up. You have experience leveraging social data to evolve a content strategy, and you’ve used social listening to understand a brand’s following inside and out. You are fluent in (and obsessed with) social media and have a clear point of view on social trends and digital content. You have a knack for writing and evolving a brand’s voice, and you seize social as an opportunity to tell a brand’s story. You’ve successfully driven a brand’s organic social growth and are well-versed in all things influencer. You’re a self-starter who can break a big-picture strategy down into a day-to-day to-do list.


  • Develop monthly content lineups across social, email, and
  • Oversee concept, delivery and execution for all BeautyRx content
  • Grow our social community and create valuable experiences for them; encourage participation and interaction with our brand
  • Develop relationships with influencers and manage our Glow Pro Ambassador Program
  • Work with business partners (eg. Blushington) to align social and email marketing efforts
  • Regularly measure performance and optimize based on analytics
  • Compose weekly newsletter emails
  • Elevate and implement BeautyRx’s brand voice
  • Be the BeautyRx social media expert; identify trends and new platform offerings to ensure that BeautyRx is an innovator in the social realm
  • Explore paid social to amplify social efforts
  • Manage a team of 2 to 3 paid interns (photo and content)
  • Deliver monthly report on all social and content using data to gain insights on what worked and what didn’t
  • Develop content and social strategy for BeautyRx’s first brick-and-mortar concept, launching in the first half of 2018


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in social media and content
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to cater the brand’s voices to its diverse audiences
  • Passion for the role that social / content can play in overall marketing strategy
  • Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience launching a product, brick-and-mortar business and/or brand
  • Ability to bridge creativity and analytics to deliver results
  • Believes in the critical role social has in building our brand
  • Obsessed with all things skin care and beauty
  • Experience managing content for both the digital and brick-and-mortar extensions of a brand
