Why do you recommend starting with The Progressive Peel instead of the Maximum Exfoliating Gel?
The first time you went for a run, did you tackle a marathon, or did you start slowly? We take the same approach to glycolic exfoliation. The Progressive Peel is the optimal way to take advantage of BeautyRx exfoliants. It includes the entire range of exfoliants, and over time, acclimates your skin to maximum glycolic exfoliation, without irritation.
Do I have to use this product with another BeautyRx exfoliant?
While the Maximum Exfoliating Gel offers amazing results on its own, it offers even better exfoliation when used in conjunction with the Advanced Exfoliating Pads.
Do I need to use a moisturizer after using the Maximum Exfoliating Gel?
Whether you use a moisturizer after applying the Maximum Exfoliating Gel is up to you. Some people find that their skin is comfortable without use of an additional moisturizer, while others want to add hydration.
How do I decide if I should use the Maximum Exfoliating Gel or the Maximum Exfoliating Cream?
The Maximum Exfoliating Cream is formulated specifically to sooth while providing the highest at-home level of glycolic exfoliation. We find that most people, even those with oily skin, are able to use the Maximum Exfoliating Cream. If you have extremely oily skin and/or are prone to acne breakouts, we would then suggest that you consider the Maximum Exfoliating Gel, perhaps paired with an oil-free moisturizer such as the Light Rehydrating Lotion, to sooth while you experience optimal exfoliation.
