Who Knows Best?

There is so much information out there, whether it be on the world wide web, or in this blog. And while having immediate and unlimited access to information is good, and most of us can tell what's reliable and what isn't, it's even better (and smarter) if you know when to call on an expert.

You Know Your Skin Best

Dr. Schultz is the first one to say that no one knows your skin better than you do. You know how it looks, feels, and works. And you know the minute something changes. But being a good observer doesn't necessarily mean that you're a good fixer.

Check In With Your Dermatologist

Now, I am not suggesting that you call your NYC dermatologist every time you spot a new freckle. But say, being the good observer that you are, you've noticed a new mole on your shoulder, or that an existing mole has started to change shape and color. While information out there - a la internet - might be able to help you determine if the mole is harmless or potentially cancerous, you wouldn't want the internet word to be the last. And you certainly wouldn't want to order up 1-2-3 Easy Mole Remover from Bob's internet superstore.

Getting the scoop on skincare best practices is easy on the internet, it's why we've created the BeautyRx blog. And by best practices I mean tips and insight on, for example, the skincare essentials: sunscreen, antioxidants and exfoliants. Check out the power of three, and leave the tough stuff for the docs. They're here to help.
